How To Make Money On eBay

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

Making money on e-bay is really simple!

Ordinary people are making $10,000 a month or more on e-bay using a SIMPLE method.

First, you need to think of a market that people NEED. For example , right now the iPhones are HOT. What do people need for iPhones? Cases, Charges, Headsets, Headphones, etc.. This type of stuff can be bought overseas from legitimate sources VERY CHEAP and sold for nice profits on eBay.

Here is how you can make a lot of money on eBay:

1. Find a hot ticket item that is selling well in the USA right now (iPhones, nice digital cameras, any NICE electronic)

2. Find wholesale accessories for the item by searching , the worlds largest supplier directory

NOTE: Only buy from verified gold suppliers.. there are a lot of scam artists on Alibaba, but if you stick to the gold supplier you will be okay!

3. Develop a good reputation on eBay

4. Create an effective auction listing and price yourself lower then your competitors

5. Tune your auction based on your results

6. Expand the business to other areas using Alibaba

7. Sit back and collect the cash!

It’s really that easy guys. Those 7 steps WILL make you money if you take the time and initiative to set the business up.

I’m going to Tunica this weekend to check out the world series of poker. I’ll try to make a post in the next day or so before I leave, but I’ll be gone for the weekend. I hope to have plenty of questions and comments when I get back!

How To Make Money Creating Your Own Product (EBook)

Tuesday, January 15th, 2008

Alright, this should be your ultimate goal in Internet Marketing, CREATING YOUR OWN PRODUCT!

That’s right. Yours! Nobody elses! You create it from scratch and you sell it for whatever you want.

Even better, you keep ALL the profits.

It’s not easy to create your own product and for that reason is why there are so many affiliate marketers out there.

Let’s go over the three main aspects of creating your product.

1. Niche Selection

2. EBook Content , Minisite, Salespage

3. Marketing

Before you begin, you REALLY need to research your niche. I like to use this handy keyword tracker

If there are a good bit of searches done for what I call “selling keywords” then chances are you are in a good niche. Another good indicator is if there are people paying for advertisements (Adwords)

If you search one of your niche’s keywords and you see people selling similar products to what you are planning to sell, then you are in great shape to start product creation.

Okay, on to creating the sales page, minisite, and ebook. You might need to hire a designer to do the minisite. You can find them anywhere - digital point forum and to name a few. It takes practice to write a good sales page so I recommend looking at a lot of different sales pages and get a hang for how they write them.

You have to be sure the ebook is comprehensive, original, and fully explains your topic.

If you write a crappy ebook all you are going to have is returns, which is NOT good.

Okay, finally, MARKETING!

Without marketing, you will make no money and that my friend is sad.

You need to have a plan for paid advertisements, SEO, article marketing, link building, EVERYTHING!

Think outside the box. Test with small budgets for paid advertising and write a LOT of articles.

Use all the free advertising techniques I have taught and really just keep at it.

That’s it for today guys. Be back tomorrow

How To Make Money Online Using Affiliate Marketing

Monday, January 14th, 2008

First off, I want to sincerely apologize for not making posts the last couple of days. As I’m sure many of you realize by now I’m a full time college student and full time internet marketer. I provide a lot of services to fellow internet marketers (mainly webdesign) and I had a guy that needed a project very quick. He paid very well for me to basically drop everything else I was doing to get his website up by Saturday. My blog and my friends suffered this weekend but I have to take these jobs when I get them.

Anyways, back to business all this week!

Okay… let’s go over what almost EVERYONE preaches online “Becoming an Affiliate Marketer”

First, let’s think. Do I think affiliate marketing is worth it?

Yes and No - Affiliate Marketing has been very good to me, but at the same time it’s been not so good to me. I believe it almost holds back a lot of new internet marketers and puts them in a comfort zone of not learning the neccessities to really become rich in this business (product creation, web design, advanced marketing) Instead, all an affiliate marketer has to do is solely work on promoting the product through various methods. The affiliate marketer is only rewarded with an average of 50% of any sales he or she makes.

If you are new to Internet Marketing, I highly suggest Affiliate Marketing to get a grasp on the business. After that, you really do need to learn new methods to make money online.

To become an affiliate marketer you are going to need to sign up with the largest marketplace,

Only promote products that have high gravity and are in hot niches. Don’t take gambles until you understand how it all works.

I highly recommend using free methods of advertising the affiliate offer such as article marketing, squidoo lens, blogs, forums, etc.

PPC is highly overrated in affiliate marketing and in my opinion is impossible to be profitable over the long haul due to you not keeping 100% of the sale.

To be completely honest, I only dabbed around in affiliate marketing for a couple of months and made around $3000 the whole time doing it. I just wasn’t motivated to promote someone elses product everyday, but hey, that’s the entrepreneur inside of me.

I’ll be back tomorrow guys to talk about “How To Make Money Online Creating Your Own Product”

Thanks for being patient with me :)

How To Make Money Giving Away Free Stuff

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008

Hello everyone!

Today my lesson is “How To Make Moeny Giving Away Free Stuff”

I’m going to let you in on a little secret I’ve learned and been told OVER and OVER and OVER

People love FREE STUFF. People are literally psychologically attached to seeing the word FREE and something clicking. It’s hard to explain but its the best way to get somebodys attention.

On many of the e-products I sell today my main sales page GIVES AWAY a FREE REPORT.

Let’s say I wrote a 50 page book on “How To Make Money”

I’d draw the visitor in by saying “Sign up for my mailing list and get chapters 1-3 ABSOLUTELY FREE!”

I get the users e-mail address for further sales, I gain their trust, and they are happy. You ALWAYS need to be building an e-mail list in this business. My favorite e-mail list autoresponder service is . They are awesome and hold all four of my e-mail lists.

I’ll be back tomorrow to go more into detail on how to use this method but I just wanted to get some ideas going in your head before we go into the lesson tomorrow.

Sorry for the short post, but today has been a LONG day. E-mail any questions!

How To Make Money Online Using Craigslist And Ebay

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

Hello everyone!

What a day! As many of you know I’m in college and today was my first day back. I can already tell this semester is going to be full of sleepless nights followed by pots and pots of coffee. My situation is kind of unique because I honestly know what I want to do with my life. I have my internet marketing career planned out for the next decade.

I’m finishing college for three reasons:

1. To please my family - they’ve invested thousands and thousands of dollars for me to go to college

2. When I’m older I want to be able to say I graduated college

3. I only have two years left

Unless the internet goes extinct in the next fifty years I can honestly say my degree is going be collecting a lot of dust. Oh well!

Okay, on to my latest method on “How To Make Money Online”

This method involves using Craigslist and EBay. I actually came up with this method when I was 17 years old REALLY needing to make a quick $100-$200. It’s easy and just takes a bit of work. I’ve recieved a couple of e-mails needing to make quick money online and this is honestly the quickest way I could come up with.

Okay, here is the method.

Everyday in YOUR city, THOUSANDS of valuable items are listed on Craigslist. The sellers are EAGER to sell the items and many times have NO idea what the worth of their item is.

YOUR JOB is to find good deals on Craigslist and then caller the seller.

Probably 60-70% of the time you can negotiate with the seller to LOWER the price by 25% or more. The LISTED price means nothing!! Craigslist sellers are generally the most desperate and listed their item on CL because they wanted CASH TODAY. If you don’t mind traveling to meet up with sellers and wheeling and dealing you can make some serious cash doing what I call Craiglist/Ebay Arbitrage.

How do you find out if its worth to sell on ebay?

Simply create an ebay account and do an ADVANCED SEARCH for your item and click “Completed Auctions”

BAM! You can see every price for your item the auction has closed at.

Generally I look for electronic items on Craigslist because those are the most sought after on EBay.

Do not be afraid to negotiate on the phone!! I’ve saved THOUSANDS. I’ll usually say something like

“I can pick up the item in an hour CASH if you can sell it to me for $XX.XX”

They will either counter offer or say SURE!

It’s easy guys.. It takes work but its GUARANTEED!

Build your EBAY rep to gain more and more bidders for your items.

One word of caution.. be a bit careful dealing with Craigslist sellers. There have beeen people set up to be robbed before so I HIGHLY suggest meeting the person in a public area such as a McDonalds or a mall etc.. I NEVER go to the persons house..

Also be sure to look the item completely over before buying.

That’s it guys! I’ll be back tomorrow with another way to make quick, fast, and guaranteed cash online.

How To Get Free Advertising

Monday, January 7th, 2008

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the BetterLifetimes Blog! I hope you have enjoyed all my posts to this point. I hope you guys honestly will take action on my “How To Make Money Online” three part series.

My post today is on free advertising methods. Advertising is KING in business and you HAVE to use it. Big companies like Nike, Reebok, Ford, BMW, etc.. all have HUGE advertising teams that they devote MILLIONS of dollars to every year. They do this because they know the potential of advertising and what exactly it does for their business.

Think about it.. If nobody knows about your business, how the hell are you supposed to make sales? No matter if you are offering a service, product, membership, ANYTHING you need to advertise!

The best thing about FREE advertising methods is that MANY of them are better then paid advertising methods!

Don't believe me? Try for yourself. Here are some of my favorites:

1. Craigslist - THE KING of traffic!! Treat Craigslist good and it will treat you well. Make your advertisements short, sweet, and to the point. Do not SPAM craigslist. Do not post too many ads! If you do this they will ban your account... do this too many times and they will ban your IP!

2. USFreeAds- Just like Craigslist but not as much traffic. The problem with USFreeAds is they have run into a lot of problems with spammers. I use it today and get pretty good results from it, try it for yourself.

3. Message Boards - Find an active message board within your niche. Make worthwhile posts and get involved. After a while, add your product or service to your signature line. Gain a LOT of attention and get your website seen in EVERY post you make. This could be huge!! It works extremely well for me.

4. Article Marketing - My favorite thing to talk about!! Write good 350-500 word articles on your subject and submit to them as many directories as possible. If you can afford it, check out, they will distribute your article to 40,000 + directories for about $1.50

The best FREE directories on the internet are: - THE KING. The best DIRECTORY!

5. Youtube - Do I need to say more? Videos are hot!! Buy a cheap webcam and start cashing in! It's fun, it's easy, and visitors love it. I record one video everyday and I can honestly say I like to be in the spotlight. Try it out!! Lots of FREE traffic!

Okay guys, I'll be back tomorrow with my next topic! I hope you learned something new!

How To Make Money Online - Part 3

Sunday, January 6th, 2008

Hello everyone!

Sorry for the late post today, but at least I am posting and not leaving everyone in the dark! I had a very busy day today and after this post I’m headed to sleep.

I’m back today to wrap up my series on “How To Make Money Online.”

I hope you’ve gained a lot of insight and ideas from my last two posts. My honest aim from this blog is to give you valuable information on how to get started to make money online right away.

Okay, now.. part 3 is going to focus on creating your own wealth. What do I mean by this?

This means you are going to basically INVENT your own business on the internet. You are going to make the business plan, design the website (or pay to have it designed) , figure out the marketing techniques, figure out your SEO strategy, figure out your monetization plan… you are going to do EVERYTHING!

Now, I’m going to tell you straight up in the beginning.. this is not EASY! Your plan may sound like a multi-million dollar idea for a website and while it may have a great deal of potential, it’s going to be completely up to you to follow through with your plan. When I first started making money online I had so many ideas for new creations on the internet that I honestly could not stop registering domains. I finally started to realize a couple of months ago that it is HARD to create a new business and turn it profitable quickly.

As I learned in college and it applies very well to this situation, it generally takes two years to turn your business profitable.

For this reason, I am still providing services to other successful internet marketers to pay my bills while I work on my websites that I hope will bring me 10-20k a month on autopilot by the time I’m 25. (that’s my goal at least)

Okay, now… I know what you are thinking.. What should I create?

Well my friend, only you can decide. Let me give you one HUGE tip though… only CREATE something that you ENJOY studying and learning about. For example, if you are a college football fanatic then you should think what the college sports industry on the internet needs.

Does it need a social network for people to chat on?

Does it need a medium for people to exchange sports tickets?

Does it need a website for people to post messages? (forum)

Does it need an information website on the latest college recruits?

Does it need a website showing every college sports team’s schedules?

Those are just a couple that I came up with literally in 20 seconds. It’s your duty to do the research and see if these types of websites already do exist and if they do, are they good?

If they are not through and good, then it’s your job to take their idea and make it BETTER. There is nothing wrong with taking one webmasters idea and improving on the idea. It’s your creativity and it’s not your problem that they did not make sure their service was the BEST.

Ever wonder why the most successful companies ALWAYS stay on top? Well, it’s because they spend a LOT of money to ensure their service or product is the best and no competitor can ever jump in front of them.

Now, if you find you can create a website that has never been created, then GREAT! You’ve found a golden opportunity and the potential is completely up to you.

No matter what type of website you create, if you can make it viral (everyone talks about it), then you will be able to monetize it (make money off of it). Do not worry about how you will make money.. that should be the least of your worries.

There are THOUSANDS of advertisement networks that will pay you TOP DOLLAR to show their ads on your website. Your main focus should be creating an awesome website that will leave the user itching to come back tomorrow.

Here are a couple of ideas I came up with for new businesses to create:

1. Niche social networks - Create a social network within a specific niche or group. For example, if you went to the University of Michigan then you could possible create a network like Myspace just for Michigan. You can get free software for creating social network - my two favorites is Dolphin and phpFox.

2. Niche forum - Create a forum where users of a specific niche can chat. Do you like to talk about dogs, soap operas, college teams, etc.. ? Well, make a forum about it! Get the word about by networking with other webmasters in your niche and using paid advertising. Forums can generate a lot of activity and best of all, a lot of traffic!

3. Local business directory - This one is my personal favorite because it’s almost guaranteed cash! Create a local business directory for your city. Go out and get restaurants, salons, tanning beds, etc. to sign up for $50 or less a month on your website. Tell them you will be advertising all over the Internet and locally. Buy fliers, signs, ANYTHING to get the word out about your website in your town. This method is GOLDEN if you have a good work ethic!

There are TONS of opportunities, you just have to research and use a little bit of creativity.

Listen guys, I’m a bit of a workaholic but besides running this blog I work on four businesses everyday that I hope will become large one day. Two of them look extremely promising and are already generating myself a considerable amount of income in just a few months of operations. It’s possible and I’m living proof of online success! Don’t fall into the traps and be smart! You can make it!

Send me any questions or feel free to comment.

I’ll be back tomorrow for my post on “free advertising techniques.”

How To Make Money Online - Part 2

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

Welcome back guys!

Thank god it’s Friday. Even though I work from home I throughly enjoy and use every weekend I receive. I’ve noticed that many internet marketers disappear for the weekend and I know exactly why now.

I’m making this post and video at 7:50PM on Friday evening. Many of you might say, so what.. who cares?

Well, if you haven’t noticed I’m a young guy. While many of my friends are getting ready to head out to parties or to dinner I’m in my home office sticking to my PLAN.

I can’t let myself slack and not make this post tonight because I will of feel like I let myself down. My lesson to you today is:

If you make a PLAN, STICK TO IT! There is nothing worse then making a plan to do something and then not following through with it. Trust me, you will lose confidence in yourself.

Okay, with that said, let’s move on to Part 2.

If you have decided you want to be in the service industry of the internet I am going to teach you how today.

When I first got started in internet marketing I HAD be in the service industry because I had bills to pay and I wanted the immediate cash payoff for my work. The most frustrating part of doing service for people was physically watching them take my work and literally make themselves rich. I’ll never forget one guy I did work for about 2-3 weeks. He really liked my writing and graphics and just had my constantly working for him. When he launched his project he sold 212 products (I created the product) for $32.00 each. I was paid around $1500 for my work and just in his first week he made close to $7,000

Anyways, that’s not to discourage you from starting off in the service industry, but I urge you to gently move to the marketing industry and get into the business of creating your own wealth.

Okay, first off let’s go over a couple of points.

-By doing jobs for people in Internet Marketing you can expect to make anywhere from $10-$40 per hour (depending on how good and efficient you are)

-You will WANT to create your own business website describing your services. A good example is a friend of mine, Jason. He is an article writer and setup the website - He makes great money writing articles and has a true passion for it. His website gives him credibility and a lot of new customers. Either setup your own website or have someone make a basic one for you.

-You will WANT to setup an LLC to run your business in. In Georgia, where I live it cost $120 to register an LLC with the Secretary of State office. When tax season comes around it definitely pays to have an LLC to be able to write-off business expenses. There are so many benefits to having an LLC and anyone serious in internet marketing knows its the only way to go. No personal liability, tax write offs, your own business identity, business credit offers, and much much more!

-You will NEED a business PayPal account. EVERYONE in internet marketing uses PayPal because it’s easy, popular, and PROTECTS the buyer. PayPal can be an honest hassle for the seller sometimes but that’s just how it is. The rates are low and its what is the standard for making payments online.

Finally, you need to pick a trade.

A few that I would definently recommend and ones that are in demand are the following:

-Article Writing, EBook Writing, Newsletter Writing - ANY CONTENT service

-Website Design, Minisite Design, ECover Design - Basically ANY designing

-Link Submissions - You submit someones website to link directories to help them gain backlinks and promotion.

-SEO - You help a webmaster that needs help in gaining better rankings within Google. You will be responsible for building links and making sure the website is SEO friendly. * This job can be very lucrative if you master this.

– There are many other services. My favorite website and where I got my start in offering my services is DigitalPoint has marketers from the service and advertising industry exchanging services. Register and start off researching and making posts. Digitalpoint is probably the best website on the internet for internet marketers, treat it like gold!

Use creativity and provide a unique selling point that your competitors do not! You CAN make a lot of money by providing other internet marketers your expert services.

I’ll be back tomorrow with part 3 of this series, I hope you guys learned something new today!

Have a great weekend.

How To Make Money Online - Part 1

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

Hello Everyone!

Back for Day 2 of my blog. I was thinking this morning of the best possible post I could make to my blog today.

I decided that I was doing to do a three part series of “How To Make Money Online”

After part 3 of this series, you should be armed with enough information to start making money online.

Alright, first and foremost I am going to go over what I believe is the hardest step to take to make money online.

It’s called TAKING ACTION.

The problem is that 95% of people in this world today are programmed like sheep.

Go to school, get a degree, get a good job with benefits, start a family, grow old, live modestly.

Well, quite honestly, who wants to live like the 95% of everyone else in the world? Do you want to just be a sheep running around like your supposed to or do you want to make your own mark on the world?

Do you want to be on the company telephone directory listing OR do you want to be the guy that OWNS the company?

Do you want to be sitting in a cubicle staring at the clock everyday OR do you want to be rewarded for your hard work?

If you’re prepared to really make a change then I promise you the money is out there. No longer will you be a normal part of society that lives life having everything planned for them. You’ll have rough times, but you’ll have great times too.

The first part of my series is you need to decide and plan how you want to approach making money online. From the way I see it there is two ways to make money online.

#1 - You can be a part of the large service industry online

This means you are providing a service to businesses, marketers, professionals, etc - It could be anything from designing graphics, designing webpages, coding webpages, writing reports, distributing articles, doing SEO work, ANYTHING. There’s so much out there and your paid IMMEDIATELY no matter the results of the project.

#2 - You can create your own wealth by being the guy that CREATES the business. This means your the guy that spends $1500 to create the next Craigslist, the next job posting site, the next huge forum, the next myspace, etc. It doesn’t matter what you create, but you’re only paid based on the results of your project.

The great things is #1 and #2 both have a LOT of potential for anyone that gets involved. I’m never going to talk about my current businesses specifically mainly because I worked hard to get my businesses where they are and I want to urge anyone that wants to get involved to have some sort of creative mind.

You need to ask this question to yourself:

Do you want to be paid PER hour or PER project that you work?

Do you want to take the gamble of creating the next big idea on the internet? Can you deal with success and failure? Can you handle not making any income on your project for 6+ months?

I’ll be honest, I’m still a part of #1 but I’m trying my hardest to really develop businesses that pay me over time. I’m trying to get to #2 but its a long hard road. When I work per hour or per project I make an average of $30-$40 hour and if you are HUNGRY to make money it’s easy, but it’s pretty depressing knowing you are doing work that could make someone else rich.

If you can afford to take risks in your life then I definently recommend trying to go route #2.

You really need to sit down and think, “What does the internet need?” , “What does my city need on the internet?” , “What does this industry need on the internet?”

Trust me, there is PLENTY of room left for new businesses to be able to flourish. All you have to do is use some creativity and put your heart into the project.

Okay, so this is what I want you to do between today and tomorrow.

Decide WHICH sector you want to be.

Do you want to be in the service industry (meaning your paid per hour of your work) or do you want to create your own wealth? (your only paid if the project is a success)

Think long and hard where you want to be in your life in the next 3-5 years. Anyone can make $15-$20 an hour on the Internet, but do you really want to be doing that in 5 years?

I’ll be back tomorrow with my next post!

Thanks guys

Happy New Year! Welcome to my internet marketing blog

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

Hello everyone.

First off, I want to welcome you to my internet marketing blog. The purpose of this blog is to educate my readers as much as possible about internet marketing. If you haven’t taken the initiative to get involved in internet marketing then you are seriously missing out on the opportunities out there.

First, I’d like to give you a brief background on myself. I’m 21 year old and a junior at Kennesaw State University studying marketing. I’ve been addicted to computers and the internet since the first day I dialed up to Prodigy internet years ago. Those were the days where it would take 30 minutes to send one e-mail.As I grew older and started to enter the working world I quickly learned working for someone is not something I wanted to do with my life.Ever since I was 16 years old I’ve worked at retail stores such as Office Max, Best Buy, and Media Play. The job I had before taking on internet marketing full time was a sales job at an airport rental car company.

I made around $2500-$3000 a month, but it was the most miserable money I had ever made. Long shifts, horrible customers, negative employees everywhere.

My schedule for about a year looked something like this:

School 9am - 12pm followed by work
from 2pm-Midnight
I did this four days a week, every week.

It was brutal but I loved the money. I quickly learned that sales and marketing is what I was good at and needed to make a career out of. My education of internet marketing certainly is not one that was glamorous. I fell into so many traps it was utterly ridiculous. I bought into every course, video, program, opportunity, and coaching available. Looking back now I honestly believe my biggest problem was not taking action on the ideas that were brought forth to me and believing there was some golden key out there for me to make money.I would buy courses like “Follow my strategy and you’ll be making $20,000 a month next month!!”I’d buy into any MLM program.. ANYTHING that promised to make me rich.

Well.. I quickly learned there is no golden key to getting rich. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication.

Today, after nearly two years of constantly pushing myself to learn about internet marketing I’m making a minimum of $10,000 a month, every month. I actively run and manage four websites and now this blog.

I work HARD. I’m talking full time, eight hours a day, mon-fri. My job doesn’t stop on weekends either. There are definitely weekends will I will do nothing but sit in front of my computer working on my businesses. It takes a lot of dedication to stay motivated, but I’ve trained myself to do it.

My new year’s resolution was to finally develop this blog and I’m going to stick to it. I will be posting a new topic everyday related to internet marketing and entrepreneurship. I will not be on here trying to sell you garbage. My blog posts, content, newsletter, and videos are all free.

Sit back and enjoy what I have to offer. I honestly want to inspire anyone that is unhappy with their job or life right now to make a change for the better. The internet has opened so much opportunity for ordinary people. No longer do you have to be wealthy or part of a higher class to own your own business. Watch as an ordinary guy teaches you the way to creating wealth online.I’ll be back tomorrow for my first lesson.Happy New Year!
