How to Stay Focused On Any Goal

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Good morning everyone,

One of the major reasons many people don’t achieve their goals isn’t because the goal is too difficult; it’s because it is extremely hard to stay focused on the goal. Have you ever set a goal in your life and immediately thought of all the reasons why you wouldn’t achieve your goal?

If you lose focus on your goal, you will begin to feel it just isn’t humanly possible to achieve it.  Please whatever you do, do not give up!  Some of the most frequent problems people face when setting a goal are not enough time, cash, resources, and knowledge.

The best way to conquer these problems is to break apart your goal into smaller pieces. By doing this, you will be able to focus on each of the smaller pieces at an individual level. As you get these pieces finished, you will start to find that your larger goal is all coming together.

For instance, if you want to write an ebook, do not get in the mindset that you have to write 60-100 pages.  Focus on writing maybe 5-10 pages per day.

By breaking your goal down into achievable pieces, you will be able to stay focused and reach your goal faster than you would have ever thought was possible.  I wish you the best of luck!
